Stand Out

As part of my final year work placement in Arnotts, the aim of this was to install a display in-store at the end of my time there. I was given a theme and a colour palette by the Arnotts VM team, as a guideline for what the display required. After researching on WGSN for the latest trends I came across the InTouch macro trend which has similar colour themes to the one I was given by Arnotts. I chose to use multiple shades of blue from the colour palette for my props.

I cut MDF boards into different sizes and painted the boards by hand. I then decided to dress the mannequin and do a flat lay of products in the Pantone colour of the year ‘Living Coral’ to give my display an element of contrast. This made the products really stand out. Taking this display from Arnotts and recreating it to exhibit meant I had to expand my display and add certain new aspects to it.
