Creative Manifesto X Dunnes Stores

My major project is based on the current Spring/Summer 2019 fashion trends focusing on the ‘Creative Manifesto’ macro trend from WGSN. The Creative Manifesto trend reverses the style rules and emphasises the idea of standing out. My window display looks at the 'Keep it Lit' microtrend which has a more-is-more aesthetic with an all-over print, print mixing and puts emphasis on pattern and colour. I worked with the visual team in Dunnes Stores, Henry Street to combine the mood board for the Savida brand and the current trends I researched to
create my display.

I created the prints myself, playing around with different shapes and styles to get the look I had envisioned. I chose to use strong shades of oranges and reds mixed with black and white. I then uploaded them to the computer and used Illustrator to edit colours and sizing based on my chosen palette. This helped me to achieve a uniform colour throughout the display. I used Savida brand outfits to style the mannequins, selecting various prints and print mixing for a bold, trend-focused look.
