My aim for this project was to make prototypes of furniture that are reflective of my identity. Belonging to dual national identity, I wanted to concentrate solely on my inner self, an aspect of my identity I tend to focus on a little less. There is a reason it is all black and made with fabrics. For me, black is an emotion rather than just a colour and fabric means protection. It gives me confidence, it makes me strong and it keeps me hidden!
