S-tac
S-tac is a wearable device that detects high impacts to the head using advanced sensory technology and micro-electronics. Monitoring head impacts in sport gives vital information to those responsible for the safety of athletes. Access to accurate and objective data on head impacts, in real-time, allows coaches to make better decisions on the health and safety of athletes. S-tac makes it possible to monitor the linear and rotation forces applied to the head and the number of blows experienced over a season. This equips coaches and parents with a tool to monitor head impacts and act appropriately on concussion.
