Ambal
Many people who would benefit from using a walking frame are reluctant to use one, to the point where they suffer a devastating fall. This reluctance is often caused by the stigma attached to the traditional walking frame – a cold, grey medical device which heralds frailty and loss of independence.
Ambal encourages the earlier uptake of a walking aid. It is a premium furniture-like device, more compatible with the user’s home environment. Its form reduces the visible appearance of a barrier in front of the user while making it easier to manoeuvre, store and transport than a traditional walking frame.
