Dawn

Dawn is a sleep aid that encourages a healthier approach to sleeping by giving users more control over their rest routine. Dawn provides two main functions; a light alarm and a reading lamp.

The human Circadian Rhythm acts as the bodies clock and is responsible for triggering the release of specific hormones depending on how much light the user's body is perceiving. Dawn taps into this natural hormonal cycle by gradually illuminating the user's bedroom from a dim red colour to a bright white colour over the course of half an hour. These colours and brightness levels mimic a natural sunrise and cause the user's body to feel more alert when they wake up. Dawn can also simulate sunset which makes the user feel tired in the evenings.

Dawn uses physical inputs and was designed to have no screens or app. This minimises the presence of blue light a user is exposed to before bed ensuring they fall asleep easily. A variety of soft textures and materials give Dawn a relaxing and muted appearance, ideal for promoting rest and relaxation in any bedroom.
