Lingua Franca
The aim of this project was to encourage individuals to create music and motivate them to continue in their musical pursuits through the use of a tactile and enjoyable product that allows for free expression and exploration. Lingua Franca is a 16 step sequencer that plays sounds assigned to 16 buttons/steps. Users record their own sounds to work with by using the built-in microphone or line-in port. Sounds can be modulated before being assigned to a step on the sequencer, in turn creating a musical track.
